Because QRFancy issues short links and hosts landing pages on our domain, abuse of the Service can affect every other customer. This Policy explains what is not allowed. It supplements, and is part of, the Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited content and destinations
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported immediately to NCMEC and law enforcement.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Content that incites violence, terrorism, or genocide, or that promotes hate against a protected class.
- Phishing, credential harvesting, fake login pages, deceptive impersonation of brands, banks or government bodies.
- Malware, spyware, ransomware, drive-by downloads, browser-mining scripts.
- Pyramid schemes, "miracle cure" health claims, fake investment opportunities, romance scams.
- Sale of regulated goods (controlled substances, weapons, prescription drugs) outside lawful channels.
- Infringement of others' intellectual property, trademarks, publicity or privacy rights.
- Doxxing or harassment.
- Spam — bulk SMS/email/QR campaigns sent without recipient consent.
2. Prohibited technical behaviour
- Bypassing rate limits, scraping the Service, or running unauthorised load tests.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling or attempting to extract source code, except where allowed by law.
- Probing or testing the Service's security without prior written authorisation. Responsible disclosure to security@qrfancy.com is welcome and will not be punished.
- Using automated systems to create accounts, generate codes or scrape analytics.
- Redirecting QR codes to a different destination after distribution in a way intended to deceive scanners (bait-and-switch).
3. Reporting abuse
Email abuse@qrfancy.com with the QR slug, destination URL and a short description. We aim to acknowledge within 24 hours and act within 72 hours. CSAM reports are escalated immediately.
4. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion and without notice: disable an individual QR code or landing page, suspend an account, terminate access, preserve evidence, and report to law enforcement. Where reasonable, we will give the account owner an opportunity to remediate before termination.
5. Appeals
If you believe enforcement was made in error, reply to the enforcement email within 14 days with an explanation. We will review and respond within 10 business days.
