QRFancy is built to work with as few cookies as possible. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, behavioural tracking pixels, or cross-site identifiers.
What we use
- Strictly necessary — Authentication: when you sign in, your browser stores a session token (in
localStoragevia Supabase Auth) so you stay signed in. Required for the Service to function. No consent required under EU/UK ePrivacy rules. - Strictly necessary — Theme & preferences: a small
localStorageentry remembers your light/dark mode choice and editor settings. Stays on your device only. - Functional — Stripe Checkout: if you go through paid checkout, Stripe sets its own cookies on stripe.com to prevent fraud. See the Stripe cookie policy.
What we do not use
- No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no TikTok pixel, no advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking of your visitors when they scan a QR. Scan analytics are aggregate only.
Embeds and external links
If you embed our QR widget or open a destination URL, the receiving site may set its own cookies. We have no control over those.
How to clear
You can clear local storage and cookies at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of QRFancy.
Changes
If we ever add a tracking technology that requires consent, we will display a cookie banner and update this notice before doing so.
